Module 11 Google Earth

I picked this area near Oswego, NY. Oswego is very industrial, so the wind farm would be accessible. I have tried to pick outside the city to stay clear of shipping lanes and highly populated areas.
As for the bird migration. I was reading that some birds do not take the same routes in spring and winter. Food or wind usually determines the route. I believe that birds on local flight paths might be affected but not migration.

Isarithmic Mapping

I used the pencil tool. It was a little difficult when drawing around some of the elevations. If I didn't like it I would just delete and redraw.

Module 7 Proportional Symbol Maps

I had a hard time with the circles. I placed my in a range because some were so small you couldn't even see them on the map. So I hope I did it right.
Thanks

Week 5

This is my week 5 post. I was having a little trouble with changing the colors at first, then figured it out. I really liked the other posts with the lines connecting two maps together. I tried and couldn't get them to show, I will work on it some more.

Week 3 Classification

I believe that quantiles best represents the data. Quantiles are based on rank order & a equal number of observations are placed in each class. Since this is the case, they are useful for ordinal-level data.

Week 1 Good and Bad Maps

This I consider to be a bad map. There is not enough detail.
It was a little hard locating a bad map with so many companies using google.

I consider this to be a good map. It is very detailed and shows where Death Valley is located. Major and minor roads are clearly visible for easy travel.
